St Mary's, Sacred Heart and members of the Battersea Community

Dear friends,

I just wanted to update you on developments with the Glass Door Winter Night shelter, which we held at KLS last winter and for which you generously volunteered. As you will know, we can't hold it at KLS this winter because of Covid-19 but, after some back and forth, we have now agreed to participate as part of the team offering to support the Wandsworth circuit, which will be based at only two venues across the winter.

Specifically, the team from KLS last year have been asked to provide volunteers to serve hot food at St Barnabas Church, Clapham Common, which is at the Battersea corner of the Common. We are being asked to do this on Friday evenings from January 2021 until Easter only. (This now replaces the earlier plan, which was to do Saturday at Chelsea Methodist Church).

If you would like to volunteer to be part of the team to do this. There will be an opportunity to prepare food at home, which may be better for those anxious about social distancing. If you could sign up by the end of October this would be great.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Either I or Felicity Prazak (copied in) are happy to advise.

Many thanks.

Best wishes,

Simon Butler
